Allie Movrich

How long have you been a member of the Lions organization?

I have been a Lion player and Board member since the foundation of the Women’s 15s team in 2018. 

Why did you choose to join the Lions organization? 

I’ve been playing rugby since high school and have been part of many great rugby teams (Highlander Rugby, UW Madison Rugby, Chicago North Shore Rugby). I was drawn to the Lions as I loved the idea of being part of a fully integrated rugby club that offers teams at the Youth, Women's and Men’s senior levels, and I love our mission around expanding rugby, with an emphasis on the youth.   

What type of work do you do with the Lions?

I currently operate as Treasurer.  When I joined the Board I was Operations President and Treasurer.

Background

Originally from Wisconsin, I have my Masters of Accountancy from UW Madison. I moved to Chicago in 2010 and completed my CPA. I am currently a Director of Corporate Audit at a public company.
